John Dries, a 20-year Navy veteran, serves as our Community Services Chaplain. God, in His perfect timing, introduced John to Sam Watkins and church planting in a military community shortly after being led to leave his present church after an extended time of prayer.

A “late bloomer”, John accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 1991 at the age of 33. After hearing the term “calling” for years, John found his serving as a Chaplain in the motorcycle community and received NAMB endorsement as a Disaster Relief Chaplain in 2009.

After God revealed to John his ability to help others understand His word and the importance of sharing God’s love in public, he received NAMB endorsement as a Community Services Chaplain in 2016. Beginning three weeks after being endorsed, John began a weekly men’s Bible study at a local restaurant, and has been blessed beyond measure in helping men gain a better understanding of God’s plan for them and ministering to the needs of restaurant staff.

John and his beloved bride Sandy have two grown daughters and five grandchildren. They live on a small acreage in NE Oklahoma City with Sandy’s furry companion Jachez
